SHINJUKU

Abby works three jobs. Her bills keep going up, her car keeps breaking down and her 12 year old keeps growing. When she’s summoned to school to talk about her son’s behaviour, her carefully constructed world teeters.

His teachers fear he’s been radicalised by the manosphere. Abby’s astounded: all she’s ever tried to do is equip him to stand up for women’s rights. Headteacher Sam intervenes with support. But Abby and Sam have unfinished business. How far will Abby go to protect what matters most?

A darkly funny exploration of women’s choices in a man’s world.

SHINJUKU will run from Friday 7 to Saturday 15 August at Greenside Venue (George Street) from 19:35 (20:25) in the Edinburgh Fringe 2026. Tickets available here.
